Africa Trek Ministry Leaders

Do you have a passion for Discipling young people, Travel, Adventure, and seeing God move?

Then the Africa Trek is for you!

The Africa Trek is a hands on discipleship program that travels through Africa for 2 to 3 months at a time.

We are looking for a married couple to step into the leadership role for the Africa Trek.

Africa Trek Ministry Leaders will be over the Africa Trek ministry as well as a team of Trek Leaders.
2-3 Years
Full Time
As soon as possible
The purpose of the Africa Trek is to disciple participants through exposure to rural and least-reached African communities; deepen their intimacy with God; and help them become effective disciple-makers.  Participants (‘Trekkies’) will travel for up to 3 months through Southern Africa, staying with various local missionaries, serving them the best way possible. We will travel by car, bus or train, and will stay in very basic accommodation (often in tents) and eat the local food.

Trekkies will be involved in a variety of ministries including (but not limited to) door-to-door evangelism, children’s ministry, sports ministry, showing the Jesus Film and practical work. Trekkies will aim to serve the needs of the local missionaries as effectively as possible.
Day-to-day activities will vary depending on the community we are staying with. Daily activities may include things like group devotions, times for teaching/training, evangelism, serving the local community, preparing meals and traveling.

As the Africa Trek Ministry Leaders we are looking for someone to facilitate the planning of the Treks, leading of the Trek leader team, and discipling the "Trekkies" during their Treks.

This is not a salaried position.  We would require that sufficient Discipleship training be previously obtained, or be willing to attend Discipleship training prior to stepping into the role.

Live opportunities are unsalaried. Most people joining OM have to raise financial support to cover their living expenses, usually through gifts from home churches and other supporters.
