Recruiting and Training Department Major Goal
“To develop partnerships with churches, OM Graduates and other Christian Organisations throughout Australia, to result in an increase in recruitment, prayer and financial input for OM.”
Recruiting Team Major Goal
“To promote the concept of missions through OM to churches, other organisations and individuals at large and small events throughout Australia. To accompany interested people on their journey of faith, resulting in increased recruitment of longer term workers to OM and the ongoing care of these individuals.”
Key Result Area # 1 – National Recruiting Team.
Performance Standards
1. In conjunction with the Director of Recruiting and Training, to lead, establish and maintain a recruiting team of 3-4 members for OM Australia.
2. To attend key events around Australia and in conjunction with the State and regional Reps to represent and present OM’s ministries around the world through displays, literature and in person. This includes, conferences, music festivals, Bible Colleges, universities, schools, ship visits etc. Reporting each visit and perceived outcome for our records and accountability.
3. Establish and nurture relationships with enquirers face to face, through email and phone calls which will culminate in them being sent to one of the many OM fields. This will ultimately involve the other members of the OM team involved in enlisting and personnel such as the Global Challenge Coordinator and the Personnel Manager.
4. As laid out in the OMA recruiting Document 2007, to network and form relationships with other groups and institutions that will be beneficial in the overall goal of recruiting people to world mission.
Key Result Area # 2 – Teenstreet
Performance Standards
1. Assist the Teenstreet team in the organisation of Teenstreet Australia.
2. Be involved in the training of staff for Teenstreet .
3. Follow-up the teens who express interest in short or long-term mission.
Key Result Area # 3 – Love Australia
Performance Standards
1. Be involved in the organisation and leadership of Love Australia events as required.

1. Assist in the Pre-Field Training (PFT) conferences as required.

Performance Standards
1. Provide monthly Expense records to the Finance Department.
2. Submit a report according to the pattern given on sheet (Format for Team Meetings from 2007) to Melbourne on each 1st and 3rd Monday of the month.
3. Liaise and meet with Director of Recruiting and Training as required, to plan further initiatives and to review goals set according to the SMARTER rules. Specific, Measurable, Agreed, Realistic, Time-bound, Ethical, Recorded.
Key Result Area # 5 – Partnership Development
Performance Standards
1. Recruit, maintain and inform a team of people and churches to provide prayer and sufficient financial support.
2. Produce and send a prayer letter at least three times a year.
3. Take a Prayer Emphasis Day every second month for PD, prayer, Newsletters, etc.
4. Read at least two missions texts per year (agreed with Director of Recruiting and Training) to help keep abreast of mission trends.
