We are actively involved in local missions as well as sending people overseas.

God is doing some exciting things through the OM team in Sydney. Here are the key activities we are involved in:

OM Australia is excited to announce the launch of a training base in Sydney from 2010.

There are two intakes - January and September directly following the GO conferences, and participants can join for six months or one year. The course is named SURF:

Understanding yourself (discovering how God has uniquely wired you)

Reaching out to others (hands-on cross-cultural outreach and mission trips)

Faith-filled living  (releasing your gifts and resources to be used for God)

SURF is designed for young adults and consists of a balance of theory and hands-on ministry. It is about motivating and training the next generation to follow the Living Lord and equipping them to share God's love with others. Participants choose a specific focus - Reaching Muslims; Working with a multi-cultural church plant or joining the TeenStreet team. Whatever stream is chosen, all will have a chance to experience each of the other ministries as well. MAP - "Ministry to Australian Peoples", reaches out to across faiths and cultures.

 KCT - "Kingdom Connection Team", Bridge Mosaic Church - a church plant for immigrants in partnership with the Hornsby Community Church.
International Student Outreach at Macquarie Uni in partnership with Trinity Church.
Training young Koreans in mission and English language.

 MISSION MOBILISATION - mobilising churches, schools and individuals for world mission.
Invite us to speak, preach or share testimonies, stories, videos and dramas that will challenge and inspire.

 GLOBAL CHALLENGE - OM's short-term programme. Join a team or ask us to train up a team   from your church, school or group.

 TEENSTREET- Dynamic, interactive and creative programmes that challenge teens into a deeper relationship with Christ.

The Kairos Course is a dynamic course that focuses on what God is doing around the world in fulfillment of His global purpose. It is designed to educate and mobilise Christians and local churches into strategic, 21^st century, world Christian mission.  The Kairos Course attempts to lay a foundation, in the lives of Christians and in local churches, for active and strategic involvement in world evangelisation.

Cost: $95  ($75 concession)      Location: Dural   Time: Tuesday evenings 7pm - 9.30pm, commencing 9th Feb for 9 weeks.
