2000km Walk - Week 2

Which Australian town has the highest annual rainfall?   ... the town we were in yesterday - Tully!! I remember being impressed by the amazing statistics as a child, but I never dreamed that one day I'd walk down this highway decked out in water-proof boots and rain-coat!!

Annual rainfall here is 4000mm per year ... yep, 4 metres!! Even as I wrote this, the rain was beating down on the roof of our little caravan park cabin, and today we are out walking in it again.

Last night at our meeting I gave a message on the words of Jesus, "God makes the rain to fall on the righteous and the unrighteous". Great words that remind us that God doesn't have favourites. His love is the same for ALL peoples and for ALL language groups. You could almost be forgiven for thinking otherwise, considering the fact that there are over 100 different translations of the Bible in English and over 2000 distinct languages have NOTHING ... not a single verse. But that discrepancy is due to OUR ethnocentricity and not to favouritism on God's part.
