Many people, especially in the villages, lack basic items such as food, clothes, and medicine. In Ba Le Rang, Doulos medical staff set-up a mobile clinic stocked with medicine for headaches, pain relievers, anti-worm medication, liquid that relieves cold symptoms for babies, paracetamol, anti-inflamatories, asthma medicine, children’s antibiotics, malaria tablets, topical ointment for skin problems, and solution to clean wounds. Each patient, young and old, saw a nurse or doctor and received medicines as needed. Each one was also given the chance to be prayed for as well. “Jesus is very abstract for them,” said worker Sam of the community, but by showing care and concern for each one, the crew helped people understand that there is a God who loves them.
