170 teens and leaders descended on Warwick for TeenStreet Qld from 4 - 9th of July. Leaders had asked God to do abundantly more than could be imagined in the deepest places of participants’ hearts. God was so faithful, and through the teaching times led by Dan and Suzie Potter, NET group times, throne room experiences, electives and the ‘hands and feet’ outreach, God challenged and encouraged everyone in powerful ways. A stream of testimonies flowed into ‘inboxes’ and Facebook pages giving glory to God. Many teens came expecting fun and time away from the everyday challenges. What they found was a safe place to express frustrations, and learn to be open and vulnerable with each other.
TeenStreet is all about creating an environment for worshipping God in Spirit and in truth. It was amazing to see teens recommit their lives wholly to God. Amelia shared, “I’ve made a promise to myself and God to live for Him in all aspects of my life. I want to be baptised at my church, to take my dedication to the Lord further.”
“As a leader, I was so challenged by the week. I felt like the whole thing was for me - all the messages were so applicable and inspiring. He has challenged me to think less of myself… Overall, I’m so refreshed and motivated - ready to go home and be the aroma of Christ,” said one leader.
