In a small rural village in South Asia a local man had collapsed and vomited blood while walking home from watering his fields. His family took him to the nearest hospital for treatment. After five days with little improvement, his wife was distraught. The couple heard that a group of Christian women were visiting the area, and that their God had healed people through prayer. The women, part of OM South Asia’s Winter Outreach Program, came to the hospital and visited the sick man and his wife, sharing hope and the gospel message.
Both the man and his wife wanted to become Christians, but the team asked a hard question: “What if you believe in Jesus and are not healed? Will you turn away from Him?” The couple responded that while they hoped Jesus would bring healing, “…even if He does not, we will not leave Him.” That evening the team prayed with the couple as they received salvation through faith in Jesus Christ and asked Him for healing.
