Short Description: To manage the budgeting, disbursement and reporting of donations and fees for the NGO programs and support areas (finance, administration, general services, personnel).  Primary responsibility is for the Central Asian (country capital) office, but also includes assistance to branch (regional) offices.  This position also supports all program/department managers of the NGO (local and expat) in their roles as financial managers. 

• Two years work experience in a position in accounting
• Supervisory experience (in a firm or voluntary organization) of at least one year required
• Cross-cultural experience highly desirable
• Chartered Accountant or CPA preferred

• Excellent accounting/finance skills
• Computer skills (MSWord, Excel, Windows) required
• Knowledge of computerized bookkeeping/accounting software very desirable
• Able to work patiently with managers who have varying knowledge levels of accounting

• Flexibility when working conditions change
• Willingness to continually improve knowledge of local culture and language
• Ability to be humble and patient as both manager and learner
• Desire to form good working relationships with all staff (including managers)
• High ethical standards
• Commitment to the NGO Vision and its service to the people of this struggling Central Asian country
