From Jan 17-28 I, along with approx. 150 other OMers went to GO Mission Conference in Mosbach, Germany. It was an amazing time of fellowship, spending time with God and learning. Going to conference was a blessing and an encouragement. It was so awesome being with other Christians from around the world who were also going out into different fields to serve God. Their stories, passion for God and willingness to follow Him is inspiring. We also learnt a lot throughout the sessions about what it’s like to do missions and how to be prepared - both practically and spiritually.
Other than all the stuff we were supposed to learn, I’d have to say that the biggest thing I personally took away from conference, was God reminding me that He can use everyone. I was particularly struggling with self-doubt because everyone else seemed so much more experienced, spiritual, talented, passionate etc. but none of that should stop me because God chose me as well. He believes I can contribute. I have gifts and a purpose. God doesn’t just call the equipped, he equips those he calls. He uses ordinary people to do extraordinary things. He uses those who are willing. So anyone who is doubting themselves or comparing themselves to others - YOU CAN DO EXTRAORDINARY THINGS TOO!
