On Monday December 12th at 3.30pm, OM Australia settled on their first ever permanent home, after renting for over 20 years. The building is located in Blackburn North in the Eastern suburbs of Melbourne.
OMA National Director, Jonathan Rodwell, met the owner outside the building for a ceremonial exchanging of the cheque and the keys. The OMA team joined them where they took photos, rejoiced in God’s provision and committed the building to the Lord.
On his return to the office a faithful old OMer who had served on the ships for many years, rang Jonathan to say, “Well, I’ve got $12,500 in the bank and I reckon I only need about $2,500 to live on; so why don’t I send you $10,000 and if I need it later you can give it back to me.” This man does not have a lot and lives a simple life. Jonathan and the team were again touched by the generosity of God’s people. As we have regularly seen, the funds will so often come from those who you would least expect it from.
OMA are praying for God to provide a tenant to rent the majority of the building as the existing tenant leaves at the end of the year.
The board and staff are grateful to God and to all those who have partnered with them over these past several months both financially and in prayer.
The whole team at OMA are anticipating that the building will be used to see more recruits, more training, more funds raised, more awareness of global needs and opportunities, and thus more effective ministry to see God’s Kingdom grow.
