ketsana_appeal.jpgAll OM personnel are safe in the Philippines, following the devastating floods brought on by typhoon Ketsana that ripped through Manila on Saturday 26th September 2009.  This was the worst flood to hit the Philippines in 40 years, terrifying residents and forcing them to seek refuge on roof tops.  Over 290 people have now been confirmed dead and around 3.07 million people have been displaced after more than 40cm of rain fell on Manila within 12 hours, submerging houses, washing out shanties and turning roads into raging rivers.  We praise God that the OM base was spared even though it is located in one of the worst hit areas of Manila.

OM Philippines urgently require both prayer and funding so they may provide food, basic necessities, medical supplies, building materials and generators for the many displaced families in the area.

  • $20 provides food for a family for 1 week
  • $80 provides food for a family for a month
  • $250 provides building materials for 1 family to rebuild/repair their home
  • $800 provides a generator for 1 of 3 communities
