Noddy, and his wife Alison, both grew up in the highlands of Papua New Guinea to missionary parents. Married in 2000, Noddy served for eight years on the staff of NewHope Baptist Church and almost three years pastoring at Heathmont Baptist Church before accepting the call to become National Director for OM Australia in 2012. Alison and Noddy have a deep love for God, a heart for people, a passion for the church and a desire to grow and develop leaders. They feel that in this new position the inheritance of mission passed down from their own parents is now being fulfilled and are excited to see the plans God brings to fruition for this organisation, as he grows his Kingdom around the world.
Jon and his wife Claire served overseas with OM from 1990 – 2000, based variously in Vienna, Istanbul, Tashkent and Carlisle. For 6 of those years Jon was OM’s International Finance Officer, drawing on his qualifications as a Chartered Accountant. Jon currently works in the air conditioning industry as an Executive Director of Seeley International. Previously he served as National Director of Alpha Australia for 7 years, and prior to that worked with Goldman Sachs JBWere and Deloitte. He also has qualifications in Economics and Business Administration, serves as Finance Director of NewHope Baptist Church in Melbourne, is a keen water skier and snow skier (though he admits to slowing down at both) and relishes the joys and challenges of parenting 4 school-aged children.
Rod is an experienced property developer who has operated in Australia, the USA and the UK. He became a Registered Surveyor in 1980 after graduating with an Honours degree in Building Surveying from UNSW. He is a Partner and Development Director of a Sydney-based company which project manages and constructs residential, commercial, industrial and hotel complexes. Rod is also a Partner and Chairman for Realty Marketing Pty Ltd. Previously, from 1987 – 1991, Rod held the position of Executive Vice President for Citistate Limited, his main responsibility being to set up the international development arm of the company in the USA and UK. Rod is a Licensed Strata and Community Manager and a Justice of the Peace. Previously a Director of Habitat Australia Ltd, his length and depth of service on the OM Board has provided invaluable continuity.
Gary lives in Sydney where he works as the Chief Financial Officer for the Retail and Business Banking business of Westpac Bank. A qualified Chartered Accountant, Gary has more than 25 years experience in the Banking and Finance industry. He holds a Bachelor of Economics and Post Graduate Diploma in Accounting and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia. He is married to Allison and they have three children, Aimee, Nathan and Alexander. He is a member at St Matthews Anglican church in Pymble.
Yi-An is a medical practitioner who graduated from Adelaide University in 1992. He spent a number of years working as a cardiac surgical assistant in Ashford Hospital. During this time, Yi-An also served concurrently as the OM SA State director from 2001-2008 until leaving with his family to serve as the Medical Officer on board the MV Doulos from 2008-2009. He also served short term in various countries with OM, MECO and OMF. Currently he works part time as a General Practitioner in Whyalla, a regional city in South Australia. He continues to be involved in active discipleship through OM opportunities in his spare time.
Edi has been involved in church ministry with her husband Dale for 25 years. She was on staff at Capernwray Bible School for seven years, five of these in England and two in NSW. She worked in Eilat in the south of Israel for 13 months running an evangelistic youth hostel before coming to live in Australia. Edi stepped out of paid employment while she was raising her four children to be able to invest more fully into their lives. During that time Edi supported Dale when he was youth pastor at Blackburn North Baptist Church, now New Hope, being very involved with many of the youth there. They then moved to Mt Martha where she attended Mornington Baptist church, now New Peninsula church.
Edi oversaw a leadership development training program for one year at Mornington as well as running ladies’ Bible study groups. She worked as a trade coordinator with Bartercard for two years supervising 130 businesses. Edi worked as the assistant Victorian state director for the MS Readathon and worked as a funeral director with Bethel Funerals for two and a half years. She joined the staff at Crossway three years ago and now heads up the Life Group department at the church. Edi is completing her final semester this year of her Master of Arts Degree in Church Practice through Tabor Bible College.
