In Bangladesh, H* came to faith a number of years ago and has been slowly reaching out to his family and neighbours, which has not been easy. Recently he built himself a new home, and decided that this was a good opportunity to share more of his faith with his close friends. On the day his family moved into their house, he held a special prayer meeting. This was a bold decision in a religious area. There are many other families like his who continue to seek creative and appropriate ways to share their faith.
In Pakistan, preparations are in the final gear for this year’s summer outreach camps, which take place from 11 to 24 June: Men’s camp, and from 7 to 22 July: Women’s camp. Thirty cities are lined up, and registration for the Men’s camp is almost complete with at least 110 young men and women expected to participate in our camps.
The Women’s Team will be visiting groups and making friendships. The women also want to work with individual children and women, and use story telling as a means of sharing God’s truths. “We are working with illiterate people and as I was thinking of ways to develop their interest to understand the Word of God, I realised that this way will give glory to Him.”...

Call of Hope Outreach recently took place in London, with many encouraging experiences, a time to learn boldness as literature was distributed, a time to grow closer to God, join Him in His work, and realise that He is in control of every situation.
During the Outreach, participants from 10 countries shared the Truth with people from Europe, North Africa, Middle East and Asia. In the midst of rain, sun and more rain, they distributed over 6,000 portions of Gospel literature, Jesus films, New Testaments and Gospel DVDs. They also met 9 new friends that are interested in dialoguing more!
Participants say:
“In the past I have thought my life was a witness, however I realise I must be bold in challenging people to consider their lives and following Christ. I realise God’s Word is the truth and is essential to support conversations with people and challenge them to consider following Christ as their Lord and Saviour. I have greater compassion for people to hear the Gospel – that is God’s will for me.”
Jane, Australia
“We made a friend from Yemen, who has moved to London two months ago. We met her at Hyde Park and amazingly we were able to meet up with her at a café a few days later...

Early one morning, a young man named Armando came to the mission base asking for help. He had come to wash his car near the riverbed on the property and it got stuck in the mud. Since it was the rainy season, this is a common occurrence.
The men left the base with their Land Rover to help him, but before long the Land Rover was stuck too. They went back to the base for the Unimog and tractor to get the car and the Land Rover out. Soon, the Unimog was also stuck. After some time they managed to get Armando’s car out with the tractor. He was very pleased and stayed to help them with their cars, even buying extra rope to assist the others. They eventually got the Unimog out, and almost had the Land Rover free when a heavy rainstorm broke. The men had to wait inside the vehicles for it to stop.
Cold and drenched, they went home for lunch, but returned to the vehicles afterwards with new plans and new strength. When they arrived back to the base they had all of the vehicles in tow. Armando stayed for the discipleship programme and was very touched by God. In tears, he confessed his sins and expressed a desire to know more about God. One OMer invited him to come back and visit whenever he is in town. He left, and a few minutes later came back with a gift of corn to bless the team.
Please pray for Armando in his new faith. Pray for the OM team in Angola and for more opportunities like this. |
